I have just returned from a very exciting trip to Liverpool to take several of my paintings.
First stop was Formby Framing to get everything framed up and I cannot recommend their services highly enough! Then it was off into Liverpool to deliver my painting of Liverpool Cathedral Gardens to dot-art Gallery to be shown in their Winter Exhibition, “The Liverpool Collection”
The other 5 paintings have been framed and stored as they need to be in the U.K. while dot-art is representing my artwork.
One of the other paintings that I took over is A triptych (set of 3 seperate canvases that form one painting) for an art competition. After it had been re-stretched I spent some time painting in all the gallery wrapped edges. My Mum’s dining room was completely taken over and turned into my temporary studio! (Thanks Mum!) I also worked on another painting of the canal while I was there.
Then it was off to the gallery for the private viewing with a great friend of mine, wine and mince pies! The art there was fantastic and it was great to meet some of the other artists. I was absolutely delighted to discover that my painting was displayed in the window out in the main entrance of the avenue the gallery is on.
The exhibition runs throughout the Christmas period until mid January so if you are in Liverpool, pop over and have a look. Maybe even treat yourself to some art for Christmas 🙂
